Climbing parks Climbing parks are high ropes courses erected in an existing natural forest. Every effort is made to protect the trees involved during their construction. It is important that the cambium, the protective layer beneath the bark of the tree, remains undamaged.
The main advantage of a climbing park when compared to a high ropes course which utilise poles is the chance it offers to experience nature directly. Guests not only experience the thrill of the height involved and challenges presented by the course, but also the pure joy of experiencing nature itself. You can explore a region which is normally unreachable during your climbing tour through the forest the realm of the treetops.
The second major advantage of the climbing park when compared to a pole construction lies in the considerably cheaper construction costs involved, as the laying of concrete foundations and production of special poles are unnecessary. Cambium Gmbh has developed a special method in this respect for the construction of climbing parks. We do not need to use heavy equipment in the woods (working platforms weighing several tonnes, excavators or similar) which compress the floor of the forest and can result in the death of the trees (due to a shortage of nutrients, fungi or similar). Our approach is guided in every respect by conditions in the forest itself. All our assembly work is realised using rope climbing techniques. |
